Double Vision
This New Year, I thought of making an appointment with the Optician. I need bi-focals as it seem. Years back I had retina detachment on my right eye due to an accident during military training. My tank had gone over a bump while I was lasing my gun scope with my right eye. After a short 15 minutes of surgery and a weeks rest I was back on my feet. But that was then.
Would seeing double be worst? No, I’m not talking about my eye now but winders I find on the web.
The winder unit on the top left is from a Hong Kong company who I think is a trading company rather than a manufacturer. The other three claims that they are manufacturers too. Any resemblance between the four? So which factory actually makes them?
Everyone claims to be the manufacturer. I’ve seen the same model somewhere but claimed to be manufactured in Germany.
If it’s made in Europe why are the sellers selling them at such a low price? I’m sure the labor cost in Germany is not cheap. Do make a comparison with Buben & Zorweg's watch winder range.
I’m not the only one who notices this. Donald Geib of Watchcases.com puts this very nicely about chinese made watch winders. Read it and you'll understand.
