One-knob Solution
From my earlier circuit, you will be able to add a Direction selector and a TPD selector. But this would mean putting two different switches in. Having two different types of selector switch in my circuit design would mean making two different hole-sizes for my housing. Drilling, cutting and sanding takes time. Well, if you combine both switches into a 3-pole 4-way rotary switch, it will give you, the user, the convenience in drilling just one hole for the rotary switch. Pictured below is my wiring for the rotary switch.
This is just an example of how to wire-up the Rotary Switch.
If you wish to add another TPD, just change to a 3-pole 6-way. This would be good for a watch winder’s control panel for a clean-cut look. It’s a logical solution.
